The Loft at Sennen/ July 31, 2022/ Things to do

We’ve seen some amazing weather down on the Cove this summer.  On Thursday night we sat out late on the beach with the air as still as we’ve ever known it, and the water as warm as we can remember.   Obviously prolonged periods of sunshine mean the sea temperature rises and this year we’ve even been bodyboarding without wetsuits and there’s been no shivering on the beach afterwards!

We keep a decent collection of cookery books in our kitchen but one of our favourites for this time of year is Nigella’s Forever Summer.  On Thursday night we roasted a leg of lamb Moroccan-style, carved it up in the kitchen and then took it down to the beach with pitta bread, garlic and lemon yoghurt and a Greek salad.   Divine!
